The device below is believed to be a mockup of what the next generation of BlackBerry smartphones will become. This particular model is believed to be the BlackBerry London and from what we understand, it will run the BBX OS when it launches next year.
Although the device pictured is just a fake it seems, it is said to be based around a real device that will run the next generation OS. Inside it runs a TI OMAP dual-core processor that is clocked at 1.5GHz. It has 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. On the back an 8 megapixel camera is expected along with a smaller 2 megapixel camera on the front to allow for video calls. it is said to be thinner than an iPhone 4S and more towards the size (width and height) of the Samsung Galaxy S II.
The operating system running on the device is a variation of what the BlackBerry PlayBook runs (QNX). Design wise, it looks similar to the new Porsche Design P9981 that was announced a few weeks ago. It is also believed that a few other devices will launch about the same time as this model which will be more towards the lower-end in terms of technical specs.
BGR also has received information on this device and says that it might not ship until the third quarter of 2012.
