New Fallout Patch for New Vegas

A multitude of posts regarding Fallout: New Vegas and it’s bugs started cropping up as gamers got to grips with their new desert wasteland soon after release day. Though credit where credit’s due, Bethesda did their job and fixed various known issues via online updates across the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 days later.

We reported on this before and posted a couple of fan-uploaded videos including a moonwalking dog and a one of New Vegas’ new characters playing a scene right out of the exorcist.

There apparently seems to be a few more kinks needed to be knocked out still and according to the developers…

“We’ve come up with solutions for the Xbox 360 save issue folks are reporting, along with a number of other issues being reported… We’re currently running final testing and certification on a comprehensive patch for all three platforms (PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3), so we’ll have something available in the coming weeks… In the meantime, an incremental update for PC should be going up by early next week that will fix the save corruption issues and problems with companions, as well as improve performance for NVIDIA users and resolve some issues reported with Havok.”

Every cloud has a silver lining as even though with it’s warts and all, New Vegas has still managed to ship over 5 million copies of the game. So someone must be doing something right.
