Samsung Galaxy Note II picture spotted

The picture below reveals what the Samsung Galaxy Note II could look like. The picture was found by GSMArena and shows the front panel of the device along with a speaker, camera and what looks to be a proximity sensor at the top of the device with a few buttons found below the screen.

The device will likely be launched as the Note II although its full name will be the Samsung N7100 Galaxy Note II. Technical specs are likely to show that it has a 1280 x 800 pixel Super AMOLED screen that will be 5.5 inches diagonal.

Earlier rumours hinted that it will have a 1080p display but more information has revealed that it was putting too much strain on the device due to the back light and the sheer amount of pixels needed to be crammed in to a small (or relatively small) space.

Other specs include a quad-core processor Exynos which will be clocked at 1.5GHz. It will also have an 8 megapixel camera on the back that is likely to be identical to the Samsung Galaxy SIII.

When it launches it will probably come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich although Samsung will be working on a 4.1 Jelly Bean update for it. At the moment it is believed that Samsung simply couldn’t get the update ready in time for launch.

We should know more information later on this month when Samsung makes a formal announcement.
