PS3 Hacked by GeoHot

George Hotz, AKA GeoHot, has managed to hack the PlayStation 3 and in doing so, has posted the “keys” online for all to see.

What the keys do is allow access to the PS3 so that users can run whatever software they want. When presenting the keys, found at GeoHot, it essentially tells the system that the software running is legit. This in turn, allows the PS3 to be used for more than what it is allowed to do by standard. [Read more…]

Samsung Galaxy S Smartphones Hit 10 Million Sales

Samsung has announced that the Galaxy S range of smartphones have hit 10 million in sales since the launch in 2010.

According to the numbers calculated by Samsung, the company has successfully sold one Galaxy S every 2 seconds since its original launch date about 7 months ago. [Read more…]

Third-Gen Amazon Kindle is All-Time Best Seller

Amazon has announced that the third-generation Amazon Kindle has now become the all-time bestseller at Amazon. The Kindle managed to beat Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows that previously held the record.

The Amazon Kindle 3rd gen model is available in two different versions which includes a WiFi only model and a 3G+WiFi model. The 3G model lets you download books from anywhere you can get a 3G signal making it handy for those who like to download books and news whilst on the move. [Read more…]

HTC Scribe Android Honeycomb Tablet Details Leaked

HTC has filed for a trademark for a new device called the HTC Scribe. The name and specifications suggest that this particular device will be a tablet.

What we have heard about the HTC Scribe is that it will have 2GB of internal memory that can be expanded a further 32GB via a microSD card. It is rumored to have a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels with a size of about 10 inches. It isn’t clear at the moment if the screen will be capacitive or resistive. [Read more…]
