The Apple Smart TV Will be a Game-Changer

In the Steve Jobs biography a specific mention about a smart TV is made. Steve said “It would be seamlessly synced with all of your devices and with iCloud. It will have the simplest user interface you could imagine. I finally cracked it”.

Although we wont know for sure that Apple [AAPL] is making a smart TV, this reference from the book along with other bits of information found over the past few months is strongly hinting that Apple could be preparing to introduce the device.

Now that the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich SDK is available for download, various developers around the world have started to look more in depth at what can be found in the new operating system. Last week it was revealed that ICS has stylus support built in. This week we learn that ICS has Game Controller support as standard.

BlackBerry PlayBook Running Android Apps Demonstrated

Last week RIM launched the developer beta of BBX OS 2.0. What this allows developers to do is run Android apps on the BlackBerry PlayBook. We’ve seen demonstrations of this before that have been created by RIM, but now we see a demonstration of some Android apps running by an external person to RIM.

The Google Nexus One, which is the original pure Android device, has now begun to taste Ice Cream Sandwich. Although it is unlikely to get the official Android 4.0, someone has managed to use the SDK to port over Ice Cream Sandwich on to the old device.

Google Chromebooks Available to Enterprise and Education with Pay-Once Option

Buying a Google Chromebook for education or enterprise requires that you pay a monthly subscription fee for three years. This is now changing as Google [GOOG] has announced that the Chromebook will be available for a one off price of $449 or $519 for the WiFi only and 3G models respectively.
