Android Gets 32% Of New Smartphone Owners

For the last six months, data from The Nielsen Company is showing that Android based smartphones are the most popular choice.

Data indicates that around June time BlackBerry OS dropped below both Android and iOS with Android taking the lead. Interestingly, iOS was overtaken by Android back in March/April.

BlackBerry still holds most of the market with a 31 percent share of the smartphone market with iOS based devices coming in second although Android is growing faster at the moment.

It does make you wonder where WIndows Phone 7 will fit in to all of this and if they are too late to stand a chance against the top three.
