Apollo 11 Saturn V Launch Slowed Down by High Speed Footage

Check out this video of the Apollo 11 Saturn V launch from back on July 16, 1969. The video has been captured at 500 frames per second with the 8 minutes of recording seen below representing just 30 second of the beginning of the rocket launch.

Narration is provided by Mark Gray who talks over the whole process of the launch including how the launch pad is cooled down and the protection around the rocket at the time of launch.

The video was captured on Camera E-8 that sits right on the launch tower. The video was shot on 16mm and transferred to HD.
