SimCity 5 Announced

SimCity 5 has been announced and confirmed by EA and Maxis. The new game is set to launch in 2013 and will be a single and multiplayer game.

The game will run on what is called the GlassBox engine and will bring extreme detail to the game not previously seen. Although the screenshot below is taken from the demo video, there is a footnote towards the end saying “Images not representative of gameplay” so keep that in mind while the renderings blow your mind.

5.6 Million Copies Sold – Call of Duty: Black Ops

We posted an article yesterday regarding pretty impressive stats concerning Xbox LIVE’s online multiplayer gamers logging on to Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Receiving raving reviews (GameSpot for example giving the game a 9.0 with the only downside being that the campaign mode is too short) Black Ops has managed to sell 5.6 million copies in the UK and North America combining to gross a grand total of $360 million during the game’s first 24hrs. Though inspite of this, many gamers arrived home after the games midnight release disappointed due to lag issues and graphical glitches and the like. [Read more…]

New Fallout Patch for New Vegas

A multitude of posts regarding Fallout: New Vegas and it’s bugs started cropping up as gamers got to grips with their new desert wasteland soon after release day. Though credit where credit’s due, Bethesda did their job and fixed various known issues via online updates across the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 days later.

Back To The Future Game To Be Released In Time For Christmas

Back To The Future: The Game is (for the time being) marked for a Christmas release date as Telltale Games are now taking pre-orders.

There have been a lot of major birthdays this year including Super Mario Bros. and the PlayStation 2. Now this year it’s Back To The Future’s 25th anniversary since it’s first release way back in 1985 starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd. [Read more…]

Update: Bugs in Fallout: New Vegas

We had written a post yesterday regarding the various bugs and glitches found in Bethesda’s latest foray into the wastelands of Fallout, in New Vegas.

Bugs in Fallout: New Vegas

While playing Fallout 3 whilst trying to bide my time until my very own copy of Fallout: New Vegas arrives through my letterbox, i was reminded of the some of the little ‘quirks’ I came across throughout the Washington wasteland.Bugs and glitches, though minor, are dotted throughout the game with the occasional NPC walking ‘through’ tables, watching someone talk without moving their lips, other characters moving along the ground though still in a seated position and one or two points when the game completely freezes and I have to resort to a previous game-save. Fallout: New Vegas – DLC due for christmas release, PS3 left out again

When Call of Duty was released on the Xbox 360 and PS3, Ps3 owners had to wait for DLC. When GTA was released on the Xbox 360 and PS3, PS3 owners had to wait for DLC. Now it seems that the PS3 has once again been given the cold shoulder.

As many know, Fallout’s next instalment i.e. Fallout: New Vegas will be released both on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3… But…With DLC already in line for a Christmas release, PS3 owners will be snubbed once more. [Read more…]

Demo Confirmed For Duke Nukem Forever
