Google+ for iPhone Updated

Google has released an update for the Google+ app on iOS devices. The new version brings a new look to the iPhone making a better UI and larger profile pictures. The app is now easier and more enjoyable to use when compared to the previous versions.

Google has traditionally not done a good job with iOS versions of its apps. Often there’s bugs in them such as the GMail app that had to be pulled within minutes of launching due to an error when first opening the app. Other apps have had similar complaints about them. This version of Google+ has changed things though as the general consensus is that it is all good!

New features include:

Whether you post photos or articles or text, we’re making ‘em look gooood.
* We’re adding crisper fonts, larger profile pics and a friendlier homescreen.
* We’re making the stream easier to scan, and easier on the eyes with overlays, gradients and other visual elements.
* Conversations fall into view as you move forward and backward in time.
* Optical cues (like parallax) help the mind linger on individual posts.
* Important actions like +1 now float atop the stream, making it easy to endorse all your favorites.

The update is available through the usual two channels of either updating on the iPhone direct through the app store or via iTunes and then syncing the app across.
