More Info On The Nintendo 3DS Hardware

As reported by IGN, new information has now been gleaned from Nintendo concerning the hardware in their new ‘glassesless’ (if thats that even a word) 3D handheld console.

Based on a report given by someone familiar with the 3DS’ hardware, who wanted to remain anonymous, it was stated that the new 3DS, still yet to have a release date, will be housing two 266MHz ARM11 CPUs, with a 133MHz GPU, 4MBs of dedicated VRAM, 64MBs of RAM, and 1.5GBs of flash storage.

What’s more is that there are, at present, a number of devices that are powered by the ARM11. These include various smartphones running the Android OS, the Zune HD and up until recently (prior to the introduction of Apple’s A4 processor) the iPhone and iPod touch.

To learn a little more about the inner workings of this little wonder you can watch the video below.

Has this enticed you at all?? We’re still not sure how well 3D will work without glasses but nevertheless are still looking very forward to it and can’t wait for release day.
