QuickOffice for the HP TouchPad has received an update. The new version allows Microsort Word and Excel spreadsheets to be edited. Prior to this update all documents were read only which was an original disappointment with the software.
The QuickOffice HD update launched yesterday and along with document editing, it also allows you to create new documents which is also what users were asking for.
ZDNet have tested the app successfully and also had the following to say “I have worked with five documents open at once and Quickoffice HD handled it with ease. This may be the easiest way to copy/paste information between documents on any platform given the card system in webOS.”
It’s good to see some support for a potentially good tablet device. It’s a shame that HP isn’t moving forwards with the tablet though.
