Screenshots and Promo Codes Now Accepted for iBookstore

Apple has made some changes to the iBookstore and now allows for promo codes to be created by authors/publishers and used by readers. As well as creating promo codes, Apple is now also allowing screenshots to be submitted to the store.

The information came in a letter today that was sent out to content publishers which of course follows the iBooks Author now available on Mac.

Up to 50 free promo codes can be created per book with the idea of them being sent our to reviewers.

As for the screenshots, we don’t know yet if these are just for regular books, or if they apply to text books as well. Either way, screenshots can be submitted in 1024×768 and 768×1024 to cater for landscape and portrait modes.
